Official Announcement of an EIGHTH Harry Potter Book

Yes, Harry Potter fans, you read that right. J.K. Rowling has announced that a new Harry Potter book is in the works. If you've read any od my previous blogs, you knew that this has been a possibility for a while now. Because so many Harry Potter fans can't make it all the way to London to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child being performed, it has been decided that the play will be turned into a book.

The book will be a two-parter. It will be released at 12:01 a.m. on July 31, 2016. This book, however, will not be written by JKR. It is written by playwright Jack Thorne, who wrote the script based on an original short story by JKR. The story takes place nineteen years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In this story, Harry Potter is an overworked Ministry employee who is married to Ginny Weasley. They are married and have three children together. The story focuses on young Albus Potter who is having issues dealing with a family legacy he never wanted.

I personally am so f-bomb stoked about this news. I'm one of those Harry Potter nerds that didn't know what to do with all their time once the final book and movie was released. Not only do I have Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to look forward to, but I also get to look forward to the newest book this summer.
