Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

All of us Harry Potter fans have been sitting on the edge of our since since news was released that Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was being made into a film. For you Harry Potter fans who haven't had the opportunity to read the book, it is exactly what you would expect: a real-life version of the textbooks from the Harry Potter series. Learn what and manticore eats, what a puffskein is, and ehy you shouldn't leave milk out for a knarl.

The movie, however, is going to be quite different than the book. The film focuses on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them author Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne). It follows him as he visits the United States to meet an important American official. Newt Scamander's brief case, which is filled with magical creatures and their habitats, bursts open. This is bad news because it sends American authorities after him and alerts the extremist magic-hating organization, the New Salem Philanthropic Society of his presence. Because of this, violence, fear, and tension is present between witches and wizards and their non-magical counterparts. This is the first of three films.

I personally am very excited about this movie. Eddie Redmayne is a fabulous actor and I think he can really bring the character Newt Scamander to life. It's also pretty exciting that his character will be visiting the United States. It will be interesting to see how American witches and wizards differ from British ones. I'm also interested in the New Salem Philanthropic Society. I hope they add in enough information about it to make it interesting. It's also going to be interesting to see what the wizrding world was like before Harry Potter.
